Cascading Kit for 1121 Series Low-Side U-Channel

Selecting the parts to create a complex assembly, such as a cascading arm, can become challenging without having the physical parts on-hand. Due to popular demand, we’ve taken some of the guesswork out of the equation for you. This Cascading Kit comes with all the general pieces to assist in building a three stage cascading kit using the 1121 Series Low-Side U-Channel. We’ve purposefully left out items that you may wish to select on your own. Those items include:

1121 Series Low-Side U-Channel - The product insights show 1 x 1121-0013-0336 and 3 x 1121-0011-0288. The one longer length provides a convenient location to add a motor and pulley to. Other lengths of channel can be used in place of these to create a different sized cascading arm.

3700 Series V-Guides - We show using 3 x 3700-0145-0288 to run the V-Groove Bearings on, but if you decide to create a different length of cascading arm, different lengths can be used and these guides can easily be cut to length.

Motor - The 5202 Series Yellow Jacket Motor is our go-to, but if you are partial to another model, we do offer 36mm and 37mm clamping mounts that work well with some of the other motor options on the market.

Motor Mount - Given the usage of the 5202 Series Motor, the 1400-0032-0032 Clamping Mounts are a popular option. While one may suffice we opt for two for added stability. Remember, if you use a motor with a different diameter, make sure you use a 1400 Series 1-Side, 2-Post Clamping Mount that matches.

Spacers for Motor Mount - to create a minimal approach angle between the edge of the pulley and the first V-Groove Bearing used as a string guide, we suggest running aluminum spacers under the motor mount(s). 16mm happens to be the perfect size when using a 5202 Series Motor and the 1400-0032-0032 1-Side, 2-Post Clamping Mount suggested.
