Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are looking to add an Embedded Software Engineer to our product development team! This position offers extensive hands-on work in electrical, computer, and software engineering. The primary focus will be designing electronics hardware and software for the educational and hobby robotics markets. Primary product lines include (but are not limited to) brushed, brushless, and stepper motor controllers, servo signal generators, PWM signal mixing, switching power regulators, LED lighting and more! You will also have an opportunity to learn and develop CAD skills by developing and modifying electronics enclosures and cases as you work with aluminum, plastic and other materials. Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering

Primary Responsibilities:

Write and develop software for embedded AVR and 8051 based microcontrollers.
Test, troubleshoot, and debug new product designs on a software and hardware level.
Perform electrical design work, consisting of circuit schematic design, embedded microcontroller implementation, and PCB layout.
Produce assembly/manufacturing documentation for new products.
Manage communication between external vendors and partners.
3D CAD modeling with Fusion 360.
Assemble, test and iterate on prototype electronics.

Required Skills:

Learning, creativity, and self sufficiency.
Excellent coding skills.
Experience in using electrical testing equipment: oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
Ability to understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
Circuit design, schematic development, and PCB layout.
Experience with a soldering iron and hot air rework station.

Optional Skills:

Experience in developing Windows-based applications that interface with real-world hardware.
3D CAD Modeling.

3D Render Artist

As a 3D Render Artist at our company, a key responsibility will be to create lifelike isolated renders of robotics parts. These renders will be featured on the product pages of our websites, helping customers visualize the products in detail.
Another core responsibility will be crafting lifestyle renders that showcase the parts assembled in various environments. These lifestyle renders aim to inspire prospective customers and ignite their passion for building with our robotics parts.
Beyond static renders, you'll have the exciting opportunity to breathe life into our robotics parts through engaging animations for videos. Using your expertise in Blender, you will create dynamic animations that vividly demonstrate the functionality and features of our products, contributing to our goal of providing comprehensive and visually impactful product representations.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce isolated renders of robotics parts on a white background for product pages.
Create captivating lifestyle renders that demonstrate product assemblies in diverse environments.
Create engaging and dynamic animations for videos using Blender, showcasing our robotics parts and assemblies in action.
Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure accurate representation of products.
Strive for excellence in each render, constantly seeking ways to enhance the quality and visual impact.
Work closely with other render artists in the marketing department to exchange ideas and improve overall quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Blender is essential. A deep understanding of the software and its capabilities is required.
Passion for 3D rendering and a drive to continually improve and innovate in the field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately represent product features.
Mechanical aptitude is a bonus although not mandatory as CAD files will be provided by the R&D team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
