Grid-Link for 8mm Pitch Steel Chain - 6 Pack

The Grid-Link is the "missing link" that opens up a world of linear motion possibilities. By replacing a standard outer link on your 8mm Pitch (05B) Steel Chain, you gain two mounting holes that travel wherever your chain goes. 

The mounting holes are spaced 16mm apart, aligning perfectly with the goBILDA® 8mm grid. This makes it easy to fasten U-Channel, beams, or standoffs directly to the chain to create a conveyor, or elevator on your robot, and even work double-duty and serve as a trigger for a limit switch.

While we also offer a Plastic Grid-Chain, these Steel Grid-Links are the heavy-duty alternative. Instead of a continuous track of mounting tabs, these allow you to choose exactly where you need a high-strength attachment.

Whether you are using a 1-meter length of bulk chain or one of our chain loops, installing a Grid-Link requires an 8mm Pitch Chain Tool (SKU: 4203-0001-0008) to remove an outer link of the chain.  Grid-Links replace the stock outer link and install in the same way as a chain connecting link (aka master link).
