The pinion gears here are able to mount on a shaft without the need for a hub. While pinion gears are most commonly associated with being the first gear in a geartrain, they certainly don’t have to be.

8mm REX® Bore

Set-Screw

Dual set-screws provide a very compact way to axially constrain these gears on an 8mm REX® shaft, with no additional components required.
