New Products Overview - July & August 2020

We are deep into the kickoff of the 2020-2021 FTC season but let's take a moment to dig into some new parts and running changes that launched in July and August!
- Gecko Wheels (3613-0014-0072)
This 72mm diameter wheel is super grippy and compliant. It is intended to make a great intake wheel but also works well as a shooting wheel. - Hurricane Nuts (2805-0004-0108)
Hurricane nuts make building with goRAIL easier. They twist in so they can be inserted mid-track. They are also considerably lower-cost per unit than their predecessor (the 2805-0004-0108). - 8mm Length M5 Set-Screw (2806-0005-0008)
For your convenience we now carry this set-screw as a replacement part in case you lose the one that originally came in your shaft-mount component (such as the 3414-4008-0024) - 6mm D-Bore 20 Tooth Steel Pinion Gear (2303-1006-0020)
This gear is a strong steel replacement of its brass counter-part (the 2301-0006-0020). - 6mm ID Clamping Collar (2910-0919-0006)
This is a replacement to our previous 6mm ID Clamping Collar (the 2910-0816-0006). We moved from an M3 screw to an M4 screw and added a built-in shim, saving you parts and making your build simpler and easier.
- 8mm REX Bore Flanged Ball Bearing (1611-0514-4008)
While our 8mm REX shafting can go through a standard 8mm round bearing, this bearing provides the shaft with maximum surface area. It is ideal when running under heavy load or high speed. - 6mm D-Bore Sonic Hub (1309-0016-1006) and 5mm Hex Bore Sonic Hub (1309-0016-2005)
This is a running change in which we increased the 1mm protrusion to 2mm on these hubs. Given that we are adding a 1mm bearing recess in many parts, this additional 1mm of length helps the hub to snap into concentricity even when going into a part that has a 1mm recess. - 2302 Series Gears (60T, 90T and 100T)
We rolled out a minor change to the pattern in the face of these gears. Basically the slots have been increased slightly to allow them to work in more situations without adding any adverse effects.
