This hub has an 8mm REX™ bore to match our 8mm REX™ shafting. The hex profile creates a positive drive that can handle heavy torque loads without concern of rounding out. The Sonic style hub is perfectly balanced for high-speed applications. The unique design conforms tightly around a shaft when tightened, and it does so without distorting the threaded holes on the goBILDA® 16mm pattern. The outer profile is 32mm so that it can be run in a bearing to isolate radial loads—or even clamped around!

Made for 8mm REX Shafting
This hub allows you to mount components to an 8mm REX™ shaft. A "REX" shaft is part Round and part Hex. An 8mm REX shaft is 7mm flat-to-flat, like 7mm hex shafts. The difference is, that the tips are precision ground to an 8mm diameter allowing it to fit in an 8mm bearing. The bore of this hub has enough clearance in the corners to accept most 7mm hex shafts.
