FTC Starter Bot Resource Guide (DECODE™)

While it's an unspoken tenet of archaeology that relics are objects from the past, our FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge)Starter Bot for the  DECODE™ challenge is currently a relic from the future! That is, you'll need to wait until after the kickoff of the DECODE™ challenge to see all the resources we'll offer here for the construction and operation of the FTC Starter Bot.

The FTC Starter Bot will be able to built using only components from the FTC Starter Kit (plus a REV Hub). After kickoff, come back to this page with your FTC Starter Kit in hand to review the Starter Bot’s Overview Video, Assembly Instructions, and Example Code. With those resources, your team will be able start with your box of parts and end with a robot that performs core game tasks.

And just like your average fixer-upper home in a Bronze Age ruin, this robot will provide a strong foundation, with room for endless improvement. Its purpose is to help teams get started with essential functionality, offering a solid early-season experience. From there, it's up to your team to build on its capabilities, enhance performance, and make it truly competitive.
